Support
Write to us if something isn't working or you're missing something — in the app under You → Feedback & requests, or by email to hello@deckle.io. We usually reply within a few working days.
Managing or cancelling your subscription
Gentle Plus runs through your Apple ID. Cancelling and managing therefore happens there, not in the app:
- Open the iPhone Settings
- Tap your name at the top
- Choose Subscriptions
- Tap Gentle and then Cancel subscription
After cancelling, the subscription runs until the end of the period you paid for. The app points you the same way under You → Manage Gentle Plus.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. The way to ask is reportaproblem.apple.com.
Moving purchases to a new device
Sign in on the new device with the same Apple ID and open Gentle. If the subscription isn't recognised straight away, tap Restore purchases under You → Gentle Plus. Your progress does not travel with it — it stays on the device by design and is never stored anywhere else.
Deleting your data
Under You → Delete local data you remove your name, progress, favourites, settings and remembered playback positions from this device. Deleting the app removes them too. There is no account for us to delete — see Privacy.
No sound
- Check the silent switch on the side of your iPhone.
- Check that the volume is turned up while something is playing — the media volume is separate from the ringer volume.
- If another app is playing audio at the same time, it can take over playback. Close it and start the session again.
Does Gentle work offline?
Yes, once a session has been loaded. The first time you play it, the app downloads the audio and keeps it on your device. Without a connection, every session you have already heard still plays.
System requirements
iPhone or iPad running iOS 17 or iPadOS 17 and later. Every course and session is spoken in English.
Gentle is not treatment
Gentle is not a replacement for medical or psychotherapeutic treatment. If you have been feeling bad for a longer stretch, speak to a doctor or a therapist. In an acute crisis, findahelpline.com lists free, confidential helplines by country. If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.
